I not only like creating personalised cards but also wrapping paper & gift tags for my friends & family. I love this set so much so that I used my sisters birthday as another excuse to use it! I used my Faber Castell Polychromos to colour in the elephant with a balloon & two of the mice with balloons.
I created a strip across the top of my panel by ink blending distress oxide inks in kitsch flamingo, salvaged patina & wilted violet and then splattered it with water & some white paint. The Auntie stamp is from a set by Papermania and the small let’s celebrate is from MFT’s little birthday notes. The elephant and the mouse are stuck using foam squares to give them some dimension.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the set on the inside along with another of the images. I matched a turquoise envelope & stamped the other elephant and one of the other mice on the front. The balloons are finished with glossy accents to give them some shine and dimension.
I used the MFT Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics to create the tag, the cloud background was a leftover strip from a previous card and was the perfect size for the tag. The back ground was made with a cloud stencil and distress oxide inks in tumbled glass, spun sugar, shaded lilac & scattered straw. A also cut a second tag in turquoise blue to add a written message and I again finished the balloons by adding glossy accents.
I have a roll of brown paper with I brought from Amazon a couple of years ago and I use it to create my own wrapping paper whenever I can. I cut a strip of brown paper long enough for the gift and then used all the images from the set and two of the sentiments to repeatedly stamp all over the paper. Once finished I used double sided tape to stick my paper and finished it with the hand made tag and some light blue Hobbycraft ribbon from my stash.
