I love, love, love this stamp set.
This stamp set is absolutely adorable and is designed by Anita Jeram who’s is a children’s book author and illustrator. I spent many a bedtime reading Guess How Much I Love You to my two boys which Anita Jeram produced all the illustrations for so I just had to have some of her stamps in my collection. If you haven’t already seen them the I highly recommend checking them out, there are several different sets and all of them are absolutely adorable. This stamp set it called Birthday Wishing.
Although I love all of the images in this set, I picked the super cute bunny with the balloon as the first image to colour. I used my Copic markers to colour the bunny, balloon and to add some grass for him to stand on. I used a small picket fence blending brush to lightly add some tumbled glass distress oxide ink around the bunny for the sky. I used a stitched rectangle die from the Mama Elephant basic rectangles set to cut around the bunny.
When it came to putting the card together I initially had no idea what I was going to do, I started flicking through some of the pattered paper pads I have in my stash. I came across this beautiful coral coloured heart pattern that matched the colour of the balloon perfectly it was just over 1.5 inches wide as it was a left over from a card I had made previously, I also found this dark blue paper which looks a little like denim, both are from the Honey Bee Stamps Sweet On You 6×6 paper pad. I trimmed both bits out using the largest rectangle from the Mama Elephant Basic Rectangles set which is 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ which is the same size as my card base. Once I had adhered them all together I stamped one of the sentiments inside along with the chubby little guinea pig which i also stamped on the from of the envelope with another sentiment.
I liked how it turned out so much that I stamped the image another two times and coloured them using some other patterned paper as inspiration for the colours and followed the same design.
This lovely blue spotted paper is from the Honey Bee Stamps The Bee’s Knees 6×6 paper pad. I coloured the balloon to match the coloured paper as much as I could and then I decided to do the bunny using my warm grey Copic marker. The card base for this card is the same size but I used a grey card that I had in my stash. I did cut a small rectangle using the same set as before to put inside the card to stamp my sentiment on as the card base is quite dark.
Again the yellow spotty paper on this card is from the Honey Bee Stamps The Bee’s Knees 6×6 paper pad. I coloured this bunny using similar colours to the first one but left a bigger patch of white on his tummy. The card base for this card is a lovely deep blue that I found in my stash and again I cut and stamped a small insert for inside the card as the base was so dark.
All the cards are finished off with some adhesive pearl like gems that I got from a craft fair a while back.
Thank for stopping by, have a great day.
