How adorable and fun is this little ghost?! I’ve never made a Halloween themed card before but as soon as I saw this ghost I knew this was the year to give it a go and I love it!! I made this card for my cousin as his birthday is near the end of October and it seemed the perfect excuse!
This is the ‘Cute Ghost’ digital stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller. I started by printing him out fairly big (im still getting used to digital stamps!), I coloured him using my Faber Castell Polychromos colouring pencils and then used Gamsol and blending stumps to give it a smoother look. I used traditional halloween colours of green, purple & orange. I used a little yellow & cream around the edges of the ghost to give him a little dimension and character. I used a black Sakura glaze pen on his eyes and also the Boo on the orange balloon.
I cut a panel slightly cutting off some of the image using the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies, I used the largest one which cut a panel of 4 x 5.25 inches. I don’t have any Halloween themed stamps in my stash but found this sentiment from the MFT Stamps Balloon Besties stamp set and thought it worked well with the playful nature of the card, I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a black card strip. The sentiment is layered up to give it some dimension. I chose to use a black card base of 4.25 x 5.5 inches which gives a nice black border and helps tie in the sentiment strip.
I cut another white panel to pop on the inside to write my message on and chose a fun purple envelope to complete my card. I really love how it turned out.
