We have a few big birthdays in our family this year and the first of those was my cousin, he was turning 50 so I needed to create a card and this is what I came up with! I have to say, I’m over the moon with it! Back at the start of 2023 I invested in the Stamp Market Big Bold Numbers dies & they have been so worth it, they are some of my most used dies now & I knew I wanted to use them on his card! I just needed to decide what to put with it. I went through my dies, when I came across the Waffle Flower Home Brew die set I knew the beer tanker would work, then I remembered I had the Scripty Cheers by Lawn Fawn and thought that would be the perfect addition to complete the card.
I cut out 2 of each of the numbers and I also cut the outlines for each number in gold card, I cut the cheers out twice in black and again once in gold, when sticking these ones together I slightly offset the black and gold so it would stand out a bit more when it over lapped the 50. The tanker is cut out twice and the top layer is coloured with copic markers, I used Y19, Y17 & Y15. I used a white gel pen to add some white dots and also used fluffy puffy stuff from Inckylicious which when activated with a heat gun puffs up! I cut out a white panel using the largest of the Wonky Stitched Rectangles by MFT and I splattered some gold paint over the background and then adhered it to a black card base which gave it a nice black border tying it all together. There is a white panel on the inside of the card which I stamped with the ‘ Happy Beerthday to you’ sentiment from the Waffle Flower Home Brew stamp set. I really love this card & now want to make more changing up the age just for fun!!
