A Mole Lot Of Love

What an adorable stamp set this is from Lawn Fawn, I was inspired to create these after seeing some post on their blog and also watching one of Christy Gets Craft YouTube videos. I stamped and coloured a few of each of the moles and the accompanying images, I ended up making 3 cards and still have some left to make a more! I’m on a mission to use some of the patterned paper I have, I’m a bit of a sucker for patterned paper and have a tendency to hoard it so these cards were a great excuse to dig out some of the pink shades within my stash!

I used copic markers to colour in all of my images.

  • Moles – W5, W3, W1, W0, E00. W7 for the noses.
  • Flowers & Hearts – R22,R20, R11, R00.
  • Worms – R11 & E00 or G05 & YR07.
  • Soil – E37, E35, E33
  • Gift – R59, R29, R24
  • Envelopes – E00, E000 & R22 for the hearts.
You're my soil-mate! Mole themed card.

This first card features 3 of the moles, the small panel is cut using the 2nd largest of the Large Cross Stitched Rectangle Stackable’s. I created a sky using Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks. I coloured a separate panel using Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Inks for the soil and used the Lawn Fawn Hillside Borders to create the different layers. All the elements are stuck down using liquid glue with just the digging mole & top worms heads stuck with a foam pad as there was some natural dimension created with all the layers. The main panel and heart patterned paper strip are cut out using the largest of the Large Cross Stitched Rectangle Stackable’s, the smaller panel is adhered using foam. I used glossy accents on the glasses and Dovecraft glitter glue on the heart speech bubble and flowers.

Love themed card featuring adorable moles.

The 2nd card is was created using the same Cross Stitched Rectangle Stackable’s. I coloured the top of the smaller panel again using the same Distress Oxide inks as the first and then added some splatter detail. I cut 2 of the Loopy Love dies from MFT out of two different shades of pink card and layered them slightly offset arranging all of the images behind and above it. This panel is also adhered using foam. The larger panel was created using some patterned paper from my stash, I added a gold strip and also a larger cream strip which I cut one edge with the largest of the Stitched Scalloped Borders and adhered on top of the patterned paper. Again I used glossy accents on the glasses and Dovecraft glitter glue on the heart speech bubbles, small hearts and the bottom half of the loopy love. The little gift is from Lawn Fawns Silly Goose.

Love themed card featuring cute little moles.

The 3rd card is very similar to the 2nd using exactly the same dies but changing up the colours, I created the background using Worn Lipstick, Candied Apples and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide inks. The patterned paper I used for this one I have had for quite some time but I really love how it looks. The little envelopes are from Lawn Fawns I Heart Pandas.
