With Valentines day fast approaching I thought I would use that as inspiration to create some cards. I have had this set for quite a while and have only just gotten around to using it, and I’m kicking myself! It’s such a cute set and works perfectly not only for valentines day but would also be great for birthdays, Mothers day or simply to remind someone they are loved! It’s a super cute set with little critters all holding a heart balloon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finished Slimline Card<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Given that all the critters are holding balloons and look like they are floating I decided to create some cloud backgrounds with a stencil and some distress oxide inks. For the slimline card I used Spun Sugar which is a lovely light pink so perfect for a valentines inspired card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I coloured all the critters with my Faber Castell Polychromos colouring pencils and then cut them out. The Loopy Love Die from MFT worked perfectly in the middle, I cut it from some Fuchsia Pink Pearlescent Card and layered it up with 2 light pink layers to give it some dimension. I used the ‘You!’ from one of the sentiments within the set and white heat embossed it again layering it up for dimension. The critters are stuck with foam pads giving some dimension. I have left the inside of the card blank for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bunny Valentines Day Card<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I loved the clouds and critters so much that I decided to do 2 more cards but a little more clean and simple. I decided to just do the clouds at the top of each of the card panels. For the card with the cute little bear I did used Tumbled Glass to create the clouds covering the top 2.25″ of the panel. I stamped the sentiment ‘Somebody Loves You’ from the set and stuck the bear down with foam pads. I again left this card black so it doesn’t have to be used as a Valentines Day Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pink version with the bunny I again used Spun Sugar to create the clouds but this time I only covered the top 2″ of the panel. I stamped the ‘Happy Valentines Day’ sentiment and stuck the bunny down again with foam pads for a little dimension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I stamped the inside of the card with another sentiment from the set along with the cute little duck. All the critters that have open eyes are finished with a black Sakura Glaze pen and all the balloons are finished with Glossy Accents giving them some nice shine and dimension. They all have matching envelopes which all have a little critter stamped on them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
