I made this card a while ago & finally I have gotten around to writing up the details! This super cute penguin is from a digital stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller<\/a>, I’m still fairly new to digital stamps & its taking a little bit of trial and error in terms of sizing but I really love that you can adjust the size of the images depending on the style of card you are planning on creating. This penguin is from the ‘Penguin Party’ Scene Creator Digital Stamp which also includes several other penguins which I’m really looking forward to playing with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I printed the penguin & coloured it with Faber Castell Polychromos using Gamsol & a blending stump to smooth it over. I then cut it out using my Brother Scan N Cut CM900 as I’m rubbish at fussy cutting! The bold 40 is cut from some pink glitter card and the outline is cut from plain black card both from Paper Mill Direct, it is layered up with 2 extra 40’s cut from black card to give it some dimension, these dies are the Stamp Market Big Bold Numbers. I cut a white panel out using the largest Nesting Deckle A2 Die from Hello Bluebird & used a blending brush to add a light covering of Distress Oxide in Kitsch Flamingo also adding some splatter marks. I adhered it all together slightly overlapping the 4 & the 0 and added a sentiment that also comes as a part of the digital stamp, I really love how it turned out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also created this simple birthday card using the same penguin as I had printed a couple when working out the correct size to use for my original card! This time I didn’t cut out the penguin but instead created a panel from the card that it was already on using the largest of the Mama Elephant Basic Rectangles die set. I created the sentiment from the MFT Happy Words & Happy Everything Dies adding in the birthday stamp from Lawn Fawn’s Happy Happy Happy Stamp set. I just love this penguin!
